Welcome to this website, where you'll find my works since 2005, mainly oils, but also sketches, collages, inks, painted photos and drawings.

My style has changed a lot in the time: in 2005 I created big sized paintings, crowded with things and people, I was interested at that time to the coexistence of opposites and in these terms I conceived the gay themed paintings. Style was colourful but rather classic, sometimes inspired to manierist painters like Tintoretto, Pontormo and El greco.

I'm absolutely not a conceptual artist, I've always thought that if you let the paint lead you, you'll find at the end more of than you have put inside, something new and revealing. In 2006 I tryed to carry out it not only in the contents but in the style too. I needed my works being half idea half accident (something found). Then I started let the colours drop on the canvas, that was something that I could not completely controll and that was my intention.

In 2007 with "Tavolino" I started throwing the colours on canvas from short distance without touching it, in a kind of figurative dripping; the compass needle was now more on the accident side. Every painting was an expirience you could not repeat. Noone could reproduce them not even me. Portraits became the mainly subject.

More recently I have used different styles in the same painting too, in a very free attitude open to new media as well, but I need some more time has elapsed to understand something more about it.

Benvenuti in questo sito, dove troverete i miei lavori dal 2005, soprattutto dipinti ad olio , ma anche schizzi, collage, inchiostri, foto dipinte e disegni.

Il mio stile è molto cambiato nel tempo: nel 2005 ho creato quadri di grandi dimensioni stipati di oggetti e persone. Al tempo il mio interesse era focalizzato sulla coesistenza degli opposti ed è in quest'ottica che ho concepito i quadri a tema gay. Lo stile dai colori molto accesi ma ancora abbastanza classico, ispirato qualche volta a pittori manieristi come Tintoretto, Pontormo e El greco.

Non sono assolutamente un artista concettuale, anzi ho sempre pensato che il lasciarsi guidare dal quadro permettesse di trovarci dentro qualcosa di nuovo, inaspettato, quasi delle rivelazioni. Nel 2006 ho cercato di realizzare tutto ciò non solo nei contenuti ma anche nello stile. Avevo bisogno che il mio lavoro fosse frutto per metà di ideazione e per l'altra metà del caso. Ho iniziato così a lasciar colare il colore sulle tele, gli esiti erano qualcosa che non potevo completamente controllare, e proprio questo era il mio obiettivo.

Nel 2007 con "Tavolino" ho iniziato a lanciare i colori sulla tela da piccola distanza senza mai toccarla, in una sorta di dripping figurativo; l'ago della bilancia era decisamente dalla parte del caso ora. Ogni quadro era un'esperienza irripetibile e qualcosa di irriproducibile, nemmeno io avrei potuto realizzare due quadri uguali. I ritratti divennero il soggetto principale.

Ultimamente ho usati stili diversi anche all'interno dello stesso quadro, in una predisposizione veramente aperta, anche all'utilizzo di nuovi media. Ma ho bisogno che passi ancora un po' di tempo per tirare le fila su quella che è la produzione più recente.
